Custom Signed Giclee Prints The Giclee process makes it possible to create affordable, high quality prints of any digital image. Inks have an estimated lifespan of at least 20 years under normal conditions, and are rich and vibrant, faithfully capturing the colors of the original. Prints are custom made, color-corrected and signed by the artist. These prints come in two sizes, 18x24 inches ($95), and 24x36 inches ($280). These are the approximate framing sizes; images are printed with a white border to accommodate the signature and title.
Prints of many of the images on this site can be purchased through the online store at Scifi-Arizona, which has hosted a gallery of Don Dixon artwork for several years and is owned and operated by science fiction writer Michael McCollum. At SciFi-Arizona, you can read essays on the craft of writing, purchase bound or electronic copies of the stories and novels of McCollum and other writers, and, of course, buy prints of Don Dixon's artwork. Here's how:
Step One: choose your picture. Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to browse the Image Library. Nearly 500 pictures can be viewed in the portfolio pages...and they are optimized to load very quickly. If you see something you would like as a print, note the title and serial number. (Please do not order any images with a serial number below 100 without first consulting us by email;some of the early pictures are "lost" in that we do not have quality transparencies of them and so cannot make good prints of them.)
Step Two: place your order. When you are ready to order, click here to Order Prints. This will take you to the order form at SciFi-Arizona. In the "remarks" box, type the desired title and serial number and then fill out the rest of the form. The ordering process is simple and you can start over at any time. When the order is submitted you will receive two confirmations, one from a "bot" at sci-fi-Arizona and one from Cosmographica, advising you of estimated delivery time. Please check the address information carefully and let us know if there is any error.
Signed Giclee prints generally require about 7-10 days to produce and ship.
